Decision Superiority™ Ambiguity is the enemy.

MGH Defence Ltd develops and supports decision-support, maritime and engineering programmes for authorised customers.

What is being purchased

Most procurement language still implies a distinction between the analytical apparatus and the means of action. In practice, customers usually arrive with a narrower concern: the time between an observation entering the organisation and a defensible decision leaving it. MGH addresses that interval in sequence. Four products gather, resolve, prioritise and present what is known, retaining provenance and audit at each step; the fifth exists for circumstances in which the signed decision is required to have an immediate physical consequence.

This arrangement is less glamorous than certain brochures in the sector, but it has the advantage of corresponding to how operations are actually conducted. An analyst cannot defend a merge that has no reason string; a watchkeeper cannot explain a track picture assembled from unexamined feeds; and an operator should not be offered an effector whose abort logic exists only in the sales patter. MGH has therefore preferred systems that show their workings, keep a warrant trail, and do not become offended when a customer asks why.

Customers and clearances

MERIDIAN is in service with six United Kingdom government customers and three allied ministries; SHOREBIRD has been deployed with two security agencies; and KESTREL-related work is conducted only where the contractual chain, licensing basis and end-user visibility are all unambiguous. Across the division, routine programme material is handled to OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE. SECRET work is undertaken within accommodation approved for that purpose.

Export and compliance. Overseas sales, demonstration requests and any exchange that may constitute a transfer of controlled technology are handled under SPIRE licensing, with Foreign and Commonwealth Office clearance where required. Please read Export & Compliance before sending specifications, country details or end-user questions. We do not discuss controlled performance envelopes by e-mail, however courteously phrased the enquiry may be.

Organisation

Defence is organised across decision support, maritime systems, engineering and shared assurance functions. Individual names, staffing counts, facility assignments, integration arrangements and trial locations are not held on this insecure system.

Some general methods are also used in Production for crowd-flow and egress planning. The underlying systems and their other applications are commercially sensitive.
